Sean Hammond's 1932 Ford Roadster

Here's some hotrod stuff all the way from down-under! This ride was sent in by Sean Hammond from Australia, who's also a regular Hokey Ass Message Board visitor. Check out his '32 Ford Roadster. It has a 351 Cui Ford Cleveland powerplant, backed by a 4 Speed toploader. In the rear sits a Ford 9 inch with 31 spline axles. It has a Wescott body on an original 1932 frame, 14x6 and 15x10 wheels, a 4 inch dropped Superbell Tube with four bars at the front and ladder bars at the rear. The 351 has TRW 12.5:1 pistions fitted with double Moly rings, an Edelbrock Torker manifold, and a 650Cfm Holley carb. The interior is all rolls and pleats red leather.

Paul van Hoof’s 1934 Ford 3 window

Allright! Another HAMBer in the Reader's Rides! We didn't really know where to put this one, 'Friend's rides' or 'Readers rides', but we want to fill this page too so.... Sorry Paul!

Paul found the 1934 steel body and frame in Eastern Montana and took it back to Santa Barbara, California.

It has taken him 4 years to build the car. He chopped and channeled the body both 3 inches, after that the original floor was put back in. The original FoMoCo frame is boxed for a bit more strength, nothing else is done to it. The ’34 is powered by a 1965 327cui Corvette motor and has tri power Rochester carbs.

For the rest, there’s a Walker radiator, a Ford 8 inch rearend, a dropped I-beam, radius rods, a ’33 grille, ’40 Ford front brakes and 16” Ford wheels…

It still has a bunch of dents in it but luckily no rust or patch panels at all… Nothing rusts in Montana!

Piero De Luca's 1954 Ford and 1926 Roadster project

Here’s our third entry for the “Reader’s rides”… These pics were sent in by Piero De Luca, who’s also a HAMBer! Piero is from Westchester, California, and is a also a member of the “THEM” carclub from Santa Monica, CA. Actually we didn’t know where to put these pics too, just like Paul's, we might as well put ‘em in the “Friend’s rides”...

The Ford is a 1954 with a 302cui motor and a C-4 tranny and a 9 inch rear. As Piero says, it’s shaved, lowered and pissed off!!! He had the car for 4 years now and it’s FOR SALE right now… $7500,- If anyone’s interested, let him know…

Piero is also working on a 1926 roadster project. He bought the roadster a few years ago in Tehachapi, CA. One of its previous owners used to race it at El Mirage with. The guy that Piero bought the roadster from drove it till the 60’s and then decided to tear it apart. He put the Deuce frame on the side of his house…. And it got stolen! So he got his hands on a Model A frame that you see now.

Piero plans on doing a mid 50’s, channelled, suicide front end, Nailhead powered roadster.

The whole deal came with the body, frame, suspension, ’40 Ford brakes, ’40 Ford rear end, ’40 wheels, a ’41 Merc flathead, a ’39 tranny and a bunch of other things!!!

Another project Piero is working on is a video magazine called “Mad Fabricators Society”… It’s gonna be packed with cool hotrod footage, interviews, badass tunes and more! He hopes to have the first issue out in a little while.
We’ll keep you updated about that and will put up a link to his website as soon as it’s up and running!
