Kym Ranenberg's 1923 bucket

Inspired by the rest of the readers rides, Kym, from downunder, sent us some 4-1-1 about his 1923 Bucket. Here's what he had to say:

Hi Guys
still doing a great job is see
well in responce to your e-mail I have attached a picture of
my finished car it is a 1923 bucket.. it has seen a lot of drag strip
work and held the national record for several years (that was before the blower
was fitted) in A/HR .. the car runs a 302 ford with a clutched auto on the street
has 4.56 rear 9 inch and is a pile of fun to drive..
things are getting hard over here in Aust..the govt introduced Hoon Legislation
where they impound your car for any slip of the types and any fun
so it is making it a real pain..
the car is going to be for sale soon to make way for a 57 chev two door
post (blown) project that I have started and a glass 32 three window (cant afford the steel one)
that will be blown also
so here are the pictures all the best
drop me a line if you want any info out of Australia
all the best

you are still a pupil!
Thanx, much fun and luck for the future, Alex

Rob Riley's 1955 Pontiac 2 door hardtop and 1966 Triumph Bonneville 650

Hell where we freakin' out when we saw the awesome paintjob on Rob's gastank. Don't forget to check out his Pontiac too...Rob 's from Bloomington Indiana USA.

this is my 1966 triumph bonneville 650. i've owned this bike for about 25 years or so. i got it when i was 15 years old or so. it was my cousins bike, and he was killed in a snowmobile accident...so i ended up with the bike. it didn't look like this when i first got it. over the years, i changed alot of stuff on it, but i tried to keep it close to stock. the fenders are chopped, it has drag bars, drag pipes and a way out custom painted tank. the tank is from a 70's bonneville, but i have the origial 66 tank as well. the paint job was done in 1998 by my friend tom taylor out in california. sadly, tom died in 1999 of a heart attack. this bike has a ton of sentimental value to me, and i'll never get rid of it.  i ride it on occasion during the summer, and i always get stopped by someone wanting to know if i'll sell it. i really want to put a hard tail on it, and a solo seat...one of these days..

this is my 1955 pontiac 2 door hardtop. i've had the car for about 5 years, and when i got it it was in bone stock condition. i added the lake pipes (which are non functional), wheels & tires, and bullet tail lights. the engine is stock...right down to the original 2 barrel carb., but i painted it , and added some chrome. the exhaust is a single 3" straightpipe, no muffler, a 4" stainless megaphone and a flame thrower. i plan on splitting the exhaust so i can have duals with the flame throwers. it has the original paint, original interior, original 287" v-8 engine, and original 4 speed hydro trans. in it.
the interior is a bit ratty, and the paint is faded a bit. actually, the paint is rubbed through to the original primer in some spots. the best thing about this car is that everything is there, and everything still works...even the original am tube radio and the heater.

Rob also send us some video's of his 1971 Chevelle he once owned, burnin' rubber. Video's are shot from a tv because footage was from 1989!

she aint pretty, but it had a 468 " bigblock in it, a 4000 rpm stall converter, and 12 bolt posi. i put those little skinny tires on the back to do this..because i didn't want to burn up my good tires. with slicks, and open headers the car ran in the low 12.00's.

Mattias' Chevrolet Corvette

Hello,

Here´s some pics. The T-bird is Peters, the other owner of gasoline magazine. The Vette used to have a tubeaxle but it was very dangerous. Now its an stock frontend there instead. The car was built in California in the sixties and the paint is still there. Maybe there will be another tubeaxle under the 427 in the future? Other future plans is to exchange the 4 bbl Holley to a fuelinjection "hillborn-style" ant mount my Jones mechanical tachometer.

Yes, I drive it on the street (with california plates...).
