Mark Rogerson's 55 Chevrolet Bel Air

Let's check out Mark Rogerson's 1955 Chevy Bel Air. All the way from London, Ontario, Canada! Here's what MNark has to say:

I'm sending you some photo's of my 1955 Chevy Bel Air. This heavy chevy is packing a bored out 283 small block that has been punch out 30 and wears a pair of nicely flowing 461 fuelie heads, 11:1 slugs, Isky 550 stick, Edelbrock tunnel ram intake with two 500 carbs which make sure this old gal gets her share of the gogo juice when the fun pedal hits the floor boards. As you all know, real Hot Rods come with 3 pedals and this 55 uses a Muncie 4 speed with an old Hurst Ram Rod inline shifter to put everything in motion. I've always loved the gasser look and that's the way I have always ran! Without a hood (rain or shine). It's a clean, fast and FUN ride that get's driven almost every day until those Canadian winter months hit and then it's time to turn some wrenches and get greasy, getting her ready for Spring!

"BIG" Michael Goss' 1965 Plymouth Valiant

Ain't this cool! Mark Rogerson, our friend from Canada, inspired his buddy Michael to send us some pictures of his MOPAR ride. So he did! Read his story and take a look at the great pics he sent us:

Great web site! After checking out all the slick cars on your Readers Rides page I wanted to send in some pic's of my Mopar. In 1993 I dragged my ride out of a farmers field, it's a rare 1965 custom 100 hardtop Valiant. Between the fenders rumbles a revvin' small block Mopar that's filled with 10.1 TRW slugs, Sig Erson 340 cam, Offenhauser single tunnelram intake with a thirsty 650 Edelbrock carb, and finished off with Blackjack fenderwell headers that produce the sweetest sound, this side of 6500 rpm. The car motors with the help of a Mr Gasket V Gate shifted 4 speed backed to a narrowed 9 inch with 4:11 gears. This makeover was all done in my snow covered garage. From putting in three engines to painting her three times, it gets done by me and a little help from a few motorhead buddies that to often drink all my beer. Keep up the hard work and again, my friends and I really enjoy the Deadenders site!

Maybe Mike was inspired by Maurice's bike project and sent us some pics of his:

Pete Panzers 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air and 5 Window Coupe project

Keepin' 'em comin'!! Those Canadians are for real! Here's our next ride from London, Ontario, Canada. Another very, very nice 55 Bel Air! And take a closer look at Pete's 5 window project too. Here are the specs:

When my cruisin' buddy kept e-mailing the link to your web site, I couldn't figure out why. Since I had checked out all the great videos - especially the Jimmy White hemi coupe clip - must have watched that one at least a dozen times. Then I checked out the reader's rides and surprise, there's Mark Rogerson's '55 Chev and Mike Goss' '65 Valiant.

Well, I just couldn't resist and if you can stand another few shots from the Great White North, here's some pics of my toys. My '55 Chev is a Canadian made car and runs a mild 350 small block backed by a Muncie 4 speed. Coated in a ruby red pearl and sitting on American Racing rims shod with BF Goodrich TA's, she's been dropped 3 inches in the front and 2 inches in the rear. Power disc brakes up front do a nice job draggin' her down from speed.

My all steel 5 window deuce coupe is a work in progress. Channelled 9 inches, plans include a drilled 4 inch dropped straight axle up front running with a 4 bar and Vega cross steering. The Chev 12 bolt (gotta be different) will be suspended by coil overs and also a 4 bar with panhard. Now picture a satin black finish with a kick ass flame job down the sides all sitting on some Radirs with wide whites...oh yeah!! One day..

Ken's 1939 Ford

We know that our Scandinavian friends are some really good car builders. Here's a very cool ride from Norway:

My Name is Ken, I'm 22 years old, and live in Norway. This is my 39 Hot rod Ford. I've just bought it... Okt 2003... so I haven`t had much time driving it.....yet. The mill is a souped up Corvette 350cid. with Comp cam and hi performence pistons. The tranny is a th700R4.
