Camden Karr's Ford F100 Pickup and matching lawnmower

This Readers Rides entry is the youngest. Being only 16, Cam has this two projects. Yeah, we know, a lawnmower isn't that "custom" or "hotrod" but we thought it would be funny.

Mikael Hostrup Thomsen's 1948 Chevrolet Coupe

This nice collection of photo's was sent to us from Denkmark.

My name is Mikael, I´m 26 years old and live in Aarhus, Denmark. This is my 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster Coupé. The car is originally bought from "J.W. Baldwin Motors" in Los Angles 31.st of december 1948. Later it was imported to Denmark (ca 1996) where I bought it last year (Nov 04). The car was all original (Except a newer cremeyellow paintjob) when I bought it, since then I (with the help from my good friend Thomas Thorsen) have swapped the old straight six 216cui engine with a newer straight six 261cui from a 1956 Chevy.(No V8 here) So the horsepower were boosted from stunning 90hk to 140hk!! I´m currently looking for an Offenhauser 2 or 3-port intake. Would like some extra juice!! Any ideas for wich carburators that would run good with that intake? I also had the car lowered about 10cm, but that is not enough, so soon it will be slammed a bit more!

Some of the pictures are taken at the Bedrock Oldstylemeet (with dirt-trackrace) in Devils hole, Kolding, Denmark. It is a very cool meet with pre 54´cars and bikes, cool Rockabilly live bands and lots of beers and fun. There is also a dirt-track race at this meet. This year I finished 3.rd at the race, so next year I have to try harder!! This event is just getting better and better. Worth to visit!!!

We also drives the long way to Uddevalla in Sweden, to participate in the traditional A-Bombers Oldstyle meet. It is also a real cool event, with live music and a great race!! Last year we had the pleasure of meeting Billy Lee Riley, who played at there live on stage! That man still rocks!!!

The last picture is a Photoshop image of how I would like my Chevy to end up. I dont know wich color yet, but primered black or red could be cool! I like the candyapplered too, but dont have the money for that much fun yet! Maybe I will do the interior in white tuck'n'roll this fall, but I´m moving to Australia for about six months from december. So I´m not sure I can finish it before the summer season! We'll see what happens!!

Ron's 1940 and 1942 Dodge projects

Here're two nice projects from our reader Ron.

Hi guys, here are a few pics of the 40 dodge pu that I call squattie. It will look like a little firetruck when I get it finished. It is built on a Dodge D50 chassis with a 318 motor and trans from a Dodge van. The other is a 42 Dodge COE that is chopped 3 1/2" and sectioned 4" it will have a blown 440 mopar engine in the middle and 18" wide pro trac tires out back.

Bill Bristow's Triumph chopper

We received some pics from Bill Bristow's Triumph chop... A ton of work went into this machine. And it came out pretty bitchin'!
Bill is located in SC, USA... Here's what he has to say about his bike:

The bike was featured in issue #43, August of this year's Horse magazine. Me and a couple of buddies built it. I had found a pre unit Triumph photo that came from a site in the Netherlands, and that was my basic idea of how I wanted my bike to look. So I found this '67 Tiger in the classified ads for $500 and it was running. It was supposedly a one owner deal, and the original owner had chopped it hideously. I mean, it was unsafe the way the neck was welded. I proceeded to cut the entire top half of the frame off, and then I completely rebuilt the section. I stretched the backbone 2 inches to accommodate the Triumph T-150 gas tank. I welded an XS 650 Yamaha neck on it at 45 degrees to accommodate the donated Yamaha frontend. Then I modified (milled) the Yamaha 16 inch rear hub so it would fit the Triumph frame. That basically finished up the rolling chassis. A bud of mine made the air cooled oil tank, and he and I fabbed up the wild pipes that was a vision of mine. He designed the forward controls and we fabbed them up. The rear fender like I told you is a Triumph ribbed front fender that we widened by welding tubing to each outer edge, and it is set in the 12 oclock position. The handlebars were fabbed up from stainless and were designed to flow with the shape of the pipes. We added the sprung solo seat, and remote oil filter assembly, then the Supertrapp exhaust collector and that pretty much finished her up. There are probably nearly 100 handmade parts on her all together.. The engine was rebuilt prior to our starting the project. She cranks on one or two kicks, and runs great. You are more than welcome to post pics of her in you readers section. I enjoyed your web site.
I have a friend in Veenendaal. He spent some time here in the USA with me a couple of summers ago. If you need any more pics or info, please feel free to shout back... Happy Holidays!!
Kindly...
Bill in SC

James Galloway's 1961 Buick LaSabre

This very nice piece of equipment came from North Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. Here's what James has to tell you about the car:

1961 Buick LeSabre 2dr c-dan. They only made 5353 of these things. They are rare. Anyway, its running a '63 401 with the original Dynaslow tranny. 4-wheel bag set up with ten swithes, so it goes anyway you want it to(up/down,/side/side,pancake, yada, yada, yada. The int. is all orginal with Mexican banket's on the seats. The steering wheel is painted House of Colors Candy pearl metal flake Sunset Orange, and the roof also. The body is H of C's Zenith Gold. The giant Tiki head on the roof along with another on the roof done in Von Dutch style stripping was don by the guy that owns the little gold chopped and channled sedan named Lucifer. Everythings shaved with a bullet theme all around from the vavle cover bolts to the center caps on the Astro Supreme wheels. The tires are Diamondbacks. If you can think of anything else I've left out just let me know. Thanks man......p.s.-Between you and I, I talked to Old Skool Rodz today and they are goin to do a full feature of it....SWEET!
